History

 

Heidi and Amy met in 2003, quickly bonding over cooking and entertaining. We tossed around the idea of catering together for fun and started Chowgirls in 2004.

Before we knew it our big idea became the local buzz in the Twin Cities. In 2006, Amy quit her corporate job and in 2008, we built a permanent kitchen in Northeast Minneapolis. With a strong foundation and organic and sustainable practices, our business grew as our own "green" ideals became more mainstream. Through hard work, great cooking, and the best customer service in the business, Chowgirls has grown from a team of 2 to a mid-sized company of nearly 80 employees.

Serving everything from the comfort foods of our childhoods to ethnic, of-the-moment delicacies, our talented cooks can meet the needs of any party, meeting, or other event. We believe that food is beautiful and it shows in our presentation; we set a lovely table!
